Nocturnal Animals
Nocturnal Animals is a work that explores darkness, where light becomes a force that exposes encounters and reveals unexpected possibilities.
Based on >
“Deer in headlights" > the presence of light as a stimulus that causes a kind of cognitive paralysis. The lights freeze them in place, unable to act—either to flee or to move, leading to danger. Similarly, night owls may experience a type of "light" in the form of mental stimuli or environmental cues that lead them into high-risk situations.
The “night owl” > an increased cognitive function is often linked to a heightened ability to think creatively, solve problems, and handle complex tasks, especially in non-traditional environments. The same state of heightened alertness and increased brain activity can also amplify risk-taking behaviors.
